§ 3.01. Appointment.

Any proposal for a zoning ordinance or for an amendment to the existing zoning ordinance must begin with the planning commission. Such commission shall be created and shall function as provided by the Code of Ala. 1975, §§ 11-52-2 through 11-52-10, or as such may be amended, and it shall have all the powers granted therein.
